Zicam Cold Remedy, a homeopathic product sold in drugstores, claims to shorten the duration and severity of common cold. Some people thought that all drugs are safe to use because it was sell in the drugstores, but unfortunately not all drugs are safe, some drugs can be harmful for our body. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said consumers need to stop using certain Zicam cold and allergy products immediately because they can cause permanent loss of smell.

According to the FDA that this product has no proof of effectiveness and can assure safety while using it. It was reported that there is 130 consumers who already used this product and has difficulties in smelling, because according to the experts the ingredients of this product are harmful that may damage brain nerves cell that is for the sense of smell.
