Dandruff is one of the most unlikable things we can get. We get excessive flakes falling from our hair or worse seen everywhere and even getting to other parts of our body. How do we get dandruff anyway?

If you forget taking care of your hair, that could be one. It could happen if you recklessly use many kinds of shampoos everyday and other hair treatments you can’t really trust. When you do clean you hair, do you make sure you do very well? Dandruff can be the result of getting exposed to dusty places, just like pimple. Lastly, it could be because it is hereditary.

Some disregard dandruff at most times since they say, they’re just little flakes. Yet do we know if we let it worsen, the more it spreads. Dandruff spreading is no good news. If your dandruff has become worse, it can mean you’ll get white flakes falling down almost like snow which is very embarrassing. They’re very obvious especially if you wear dark clothes – minus points for your confidence.

Fortunately, for some having mild dandruff problems they can get rid of dandruff though many ways. Just be sure you choose the right brand, and the one that is proven that really helps make those disgusting flakes go away.

Causes of Dandruff

The most common cause of dandruff is the fungus Malassezia furfur. This fungus is found naturally on the skin surface of both healthy people and those with dundruff. The fungus feeds off of sebum, and is consequently found most on skin areas with many sebaceous glands: on the scalp, face and upper part of the body. When Malassezia furfur grows too rapidly, the natural renewal of cells is disturbed and dandruff appears with itching. Mild dandruff maybe cause by overactive sebaceous glands which triggered by hormonal imbalance or stress.

Other causitive factors include family history, food allergies, excessive perspiration, use of alkaline soap, and yeast infections. Even the season of the year can contribute to the problem: cold, dry winters are notorious for bringing on dandruff or making it worst. Symptoms of dandruff can also be aggravated by exposure to dust, UV light, harsh shampoos, and hair dyes.

Selsun blue medicated formula contains selenieum sulfide to work hard on dundruff, plus it’s enriched with menthol for an added cooling sensation.

If you cant find selsun blue in your local drugstore you may use NIZORAL Maximum strenght for alternative. I have tried and tested this products. This is the the best among other dandruff products.
