SodasSoda is one of the favorite drink of the society right now. We all known that soda helps us quenches our thirst because of it’s delicious taste, even though we know it is not a healthy drink yet some of us still indulged to it because they thought it will not harm our body, but unfortunately it can really harm us. People who are obsessed in drinking soda has a lot of difficulties in their body, especially when they become obese. This people might encounter such heart problems, obesity, high cholesterol, diabetes, elevated blood pressure, osteoporosis, dehydration, blood glucose level, tooth decay, skin problems, motor problems, and nerve problems. Some of us doesn’t know what are the bad ingredients of soda, that is why we just intake it without knowing what are the composition of it. The bad ingredients of soda that might affect your body are sugar, artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, artificial color, caffeine, phosphorus, and carbon acids.

Diet SodaSoda is high in sugar and calories that is why “Dieters” tend to drink a Diet Soda / Low Calorie Soda/ Zero Calorie Soda, but unfortunately it still not a big help to those dieters because according to the experts diet sodas can also weight gain to those who are drinking it. Diet Soda is actually even worse than regular soda if you can imagine that. Instead of sugar they put in chemicals with free-radicals and known cancer-causing agents because the soda companies know the allure of “NO CALORIES” for all those gullible (and unhealthy) “Dieters” out there will overshadow any of the health risks of POISONOUS substances that can magically take 150 calories out of another very similarly-tasting beverage. Diet soda contains artificial sweeteners such as Aspartame, which may increase your cravings for real sweets and junk foods. Aspartame is converted into methanol, and if you drink enough diet soda, you can be slowly poisoning your body.

People also tend to compare the soda by it’s color, they thought that the more a soda is colorless it is less in sugar and less unhealthy, but unfortunately it is not. According to some psychologist soft drinks, soda or pop has a Caffeine ingredients which is bad to our body, because it is a stimulant drug. The color has nothing to do with it, if it is healthy (more sugar) or unhealthy (less sugar).

I have read one article that talks about the comparison of Sprite and Coke soda, here is the article;

I personally love Coke. I think once in our life, there was a time we always want to drink it. As time goes by, humors are there. Scientific results came out that coke doesn’t really do good for us, but after all these facts, we still drink it. I could still remember the time when I saw a science television show on coke and sprite, saying that coke is worst kind of soda to drink than sprite, because of its color and such. After that, I still love Coke, but then, I’ve switch to Sprite, thinking it’s safer, and it won’t make me that much fat because of the color.

BUT!
In reality, Sprite could even be worst! We all know that there is Caffeine on coke. There were humors that, that is one reason why it has that kind of color. Sprite has caffeine, too. Do you know what’s more interesting in it? – – IT IS EVEN WORST THAN COKE. There’s a lot of caffeine on sprite than coke!

Question

Why does a soft drink has a caffeine ingredients?

Answer

The reason behind why soft drinks has a caffeine ingredients because they are extracting it from the coffee and add it to the soft drinks. We can also add Cola Nut because it has a little amount also of caffeine that is added to the soft drinks also.

Question

Why caffeine is one of the most important ingredients of the soft drinks?

Answer

1. Because it is a stimulant.
It will makes you feel good when you drink it.
2. When the caffeine wears off, you crave more for it.
It is really addictive and because of it you will feel more exhausted and might had a headache.
3. It is Diuretic.
Which takes even more water from your body to process and get all the bad ingredients in the soda through your system and out of its way. It promotes water loss which makes you thirsty and wanna drink more.

Sugar is really addictive too, not only caffeine makes people crave more, but it’s also because of the sugar that makes people want to drink soda most of the time. SugarIf you intake too much sugar in your body, it will increase your blood sugar level and thus will trigger your pancreas to release more insulin(Lowers blood glucose level), and because of it your blood sugar level will drop down. When your blood sugar level goes down you get easily tired, hungry, and crave for more sugar that is why you drink more soda. And then again your blood sugar level increases and your pancreas will release more insulin again, then you’ll crave for more soda and this is an ongoing cycle.

Drinking soda has been shown to contribute to tooth decay. Spokesmen for the soda industry have conceded this point. Interestingly, in recent years, levels of tooth decay in the United States and similarly developed countries have decreased. This is in spite of the fact that more people are drinking soda than ever before. At the same time, levels of obesity have risen.

Obviously, the sugar consumption involved in drinking soda is cited for causing tooth decay. However, the acid in soda has been shown to erode tooth enamel, leading to dental cavities as well. In fact, the acid in soda can begin damaging enamel just 20 minutes after drinking soda

Too much phosphorus in your body leads to a reduction in calcium and magnesium, which are vital for a normal heart rate, nerve and muscle function, blood clotting, good bones and teeth. It can lead to tooth loss, damage your gums, cause osteoarthritis in adults and bone fractures in adolescents.

Red Phosphorus

Many soft drinks contain caffeine, which is another easy way to lose calcium. Too little calcium can cause heart rhythm irregularities and severe anxiety in susceptible people. Withdrawal from caffeine includes headaches, fatigue, muscle pain and stiffness, nausea, vomiting, and depression. Women may suffer from increased PMS (premenstrual syndrome) symptoms.

Regular soda is loaded with sugar, which has no redeeming nutritional value whatsoever except for a transient increase in energy followed by a crash. Too much sugar can cause obesity and tooth enamel damage because it impedes the ability of white blood cells to kill bacteria in the mouth.

Tooth decay

Sugar in soda often comes in the form of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), which is suspected to have a multitude of deleterious effects on the body. HFCS can interfere with minerals that the heart needs for proper function. It can cause elevated blood cholesterol and contribute to blood clots, increase uric acid-a symptom of heart disease-contribute to the development of cancer and diabetes, raise phosphorus levels, and cause diarrhea and chronic mineral losses leading to premature aging of the skin. It also contributes to copper deficiency, which in turn can lead to anemia, soft bones, connective tissue defects, obesity, infertility, heart arrhythmias, high cholesterol, heart attacks, and even diabetes. There’s nothing healthy about high fructose corn syrup.
